Removing Axialis toolbar from VS2008

20 Nov

The original article is found in Axialis forum, and here is the quick action:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\VisualStudio\9.0\AddIns\IconWorkshopAddin.Connect
Set value “CommandPreload” to 0x00000000 (0).

For those using Windows x64, the key is here:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\VisualStudio\9.0\AddIns\IconWorkshopAddin.Connect

Now restart VS2008 and delete the toolbar. This should be permanent now. If after restart, it is still there, go to Tools> Customize, untick the Axialis toolbar and click remove. Done!
