Get started with AIML C# programming (III): Be nice and understand that robot can be naïve!

In previous two blogs (Here and Here), I have shown how to experiment AIML programming, and it is not hard to turn the HelloRobot console into a GUI program. Yes, I did, and found that the robot is smart and fun.

WPF Tooltip control: Tips & Tricks

1. How to add multi-line tooltip?
For button control, you can wrap the tooltip string in a TextBlock element, and then use either <LineBreak/> or &#x0a in the tooltip string.

If you set the tooltip using code, you can directly use “\n” in the tooltip text, :




2. How to add bolded texts to the tooltip?
Use <Run> element.

3. How to add images to the tooltip?
Use <InlineUIContainer> and <Image> elements.

2012 in review

The stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

19,000 people fit into the new Barclays Center to see Jay-Z perform. This blog was viewed about 69,000 times in 2012. If it were a concert at the Barclays Center, it would take about 4 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Remove unused languages/cultures from WPF/silverlight applications

If you ever used Microsoft Blend to open your WPF applications, you will find that in the output folder there are some satellite dlls in the form of fr, de, zh etc. To remove these unused languages from your output,  you can remove below two references from your project:


Rebuild the project, yeah!
